Quotes from Elizabeth Muir from WomenTalk:
“The reason I like the Guglielmites is because they exposed a whole new world order in the Christian Church. Everybody who held an office was a woman. Now why should that seem so surprising? Because in the past everyone who held an office was a man. The Pope was to be Guglielma. The archbishops were women. All the priests were women. It was a whole different church.”
“What we need is a new history of the Christian Church. Why not? Why should we put up with histories of the Christian Church that mention only 50% of the population? How many histories of the Christian Church have you read that there’s barely a woman mentioned in them?”
