Quotes by Connie denBok from WomenTalk:
“When I was ordained at 23 years of age, the church was just beginning it’s big decline and the vast majority of ministers were men. Historically we often see a majority of women in leadership at two times in an organization’s lifespan: in the early entrepreneurial stages and in the decline. I suspect that is because many women are more able to work without the ego-perks of institutional prestige, and because many men have vacated the positions for the same reason.”
